Summary, etc. Abstract <br/> This descriptive-survey research determined the level of happiness and teaching performance of Mono-grade and Multi-grade teachers of the Southern District of Antique.<br/> The study was utilized by the researcher to gather the data needed for the study. The instruments consisted of two parts: Part I was the personal profile of the mono-grade and multi-grade teachers which included their names, age, gender, educational attainment, length of service, civil status, number of learners and position. Part II of the questionnaire was about the Happiness Index adapted from Dr. Romulo Virola and the Part III was the PAST Performance Appraisal Standard for Teachers that was rated by the school head of the respondents.<br/> The statistical tools used were mean, percentage, standard deviation, Mann-Whitney U Test, Kruskal Wallis H Test and Spearman's rho. Results showed that mono-grade teachers had higher teaching performance than multi-grade teachers. In the level of happiness teachers teaching in mono-grade had higher happiness level than multi-grade teachers. Teachers teaching in mono-grade classes had significant better teaching performance than those teaching in multi-grade classes. Teachers teaching in mono-grade classes had significantly higher happiness level than those teaching in multi-grade classes. Performance is not significantly correlated with happiness. However, when different sources of happiness were tested for correlation with performance, only family and friends were found to have significant correlation. Although significant, these correlations were both positive but very weak. It must pointed out that the scores of friend and family, as well as other sources of happiness were not weighted with the importance the respondents attach to those source. When the scores of the source for happiness were weighted or multiplied by the importance the respondents attached to those sources, only the Work was found to be correlated with performance.
