Abstract<br/><br/>This descriptive-correlational survey research aimed to examine the classroom and work environments, as well as the academic performance of Grade 6 learners in a schools district in the Schools Division of Antique. Data for classroom and work environments were collected using adopted research instruments, while academic performance data for SY 2023-2024 were obtained from the DepEd School Form 9. Descriptive statistics (frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (t-test for Independent Samples, one-way ANOVA, LSD, and Pearson's r) were used for analysis, with a significance level of 0. 05.<br/><br/>The study revealed that the classroom environment, in terms of learner-centered factors, high expectations, and positive guidance, was rated as ""very good"" overall. The work environment, including organizational encouragement, workgroup support, teaching impediments, and workload pressure, was rated as ""good."" Learners' academic performance was classified as ""very satisfactory across all groups.<br/><br/>Significant differences were found in the classroom environment, particularly in high expectations and positive guidance, based on SBM level of practice. For the work environment, significant differences in workgroup encouragement were observed based on school size, and organizational encouragement varied according to SBM level of practice.<br/><br/>A positive significant relationship between work environment factors (teaching impediments and workload pressure) and learners' academic performance was found, while no significant relationship was observed between the classroom environment and academic performance. The study highlights that work environment factors, especially teaching impediments and workload, correlate with learners' academic outcomes. Department of Education key officials should prioritize improving teachers' classroom and work environments by sustaining and formulating new plans that focus on resource allocation, teacher and school support, and creating a positive learning environment.<br/><br/>Keywords: Classroom environment, work environment, academic performance |
