Summary, etc. Abstract

A phenomenon has been observed in which there is a low rate of takers and passers of the Board Licensure Examination for Psychometricians at the University of Antique. This study investigated the Psychological Capital (PsyCap) among Board Licensure Examination for Psychometricians BLEP) takers and non-takers. A comparative study was employed, integrating both descriptive, and comparative-correlational research design, with data collected from 71 Psychology graduates from batches 2023-2024 and 2024-2025. Standardized tools were used, including the Adult Hope Scale (AHS), Generalized Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES), Resilience Scale (RS), and Life Orientation Test-Revised (LOT-R). Results showed that both BLEP takers and non-takers generally exhibit moderately hopeful, high self-efficacy, moderate resilience, and moderate optimism. No significant differences were found in the four key components of PsyCap between the two groups An Eta Test also revealed no significant association between PsyCap among BLEP takers and non- takers. These findings highlight that both groups have comparable levels across all PsyCap components. The study offers valuable insights for further research on PsyCap and its association with other contexts.

Keywords: psychological capital, Board Licensure Examination for Psychometricians (BLEP) BLEP takers, BLEP non-takers, comparative study
