Summary, etc. Abstract
This descriptive study aimed to investigate the level of cadet's skills in operating emergency generator using the engine simulator at the University of Antique for the first semester of the academic year 2024-2025. The data needed for the present research was adopted based on the engine watchkeeping course syllabus approved by the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA), a single maritime administration in the Philippines aligned on the Standars of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW) Convention. The computer-processed statistics used were mean, frequency, and percentage for descriptive analysis; and the Kruskal- Wallis H Test for independent samples, Kruskal-Wallis H Test. The alpha level was set at .05. The study found out that, generally, maritime cadets from the University of Antique have superior skills on operating emergency generator using the engine simulator when taken as a whole and when classified according to section. A significant difference was found to exist in the level of cadet's skills in operating an emergency generator using engine stimulator when classified according to section.

Keywords: Skills, Engine Simulator, Emergency Generator, Maritime Cadets
