<br/><br/> Abstract<br/>This study explored the experiences of seven (7) male small-scale fisherfolk in the Province of Antique, ages ranging from twenty-nine to fifty-six (29-56), emphasizing how they anticipate, confront, and recover from sea accidents within the context of an occupation marked by persistent environmental risk. Using a narrative inquiry design and purposive sampling, semi-structured interviews were conducted with fisherfolk survivors to capture the cognitive, emotional, and behavioral processes embedded in their survival stories. Using narrative analysis there were (5) major themes emerged: Preparatory Measures and Motivational Drive, describing how operational readiness and the pursuit of abundant harvests for family sustenance guide pre-departure decisions.Cognitive and Emotional Responses to Sea Crisis revealed family-driven thoughts, petitionary prayers for deliverance, fatalistic acceptance, and feelings of indignation toward perceived neglect by potential rescuers. Emergency Coping Strategies captured the improvisation of vessel components as flotation devices, the emergency ingestion of nontraditional food sources, and the search for comfort through religious faith. The theme challenges after the sea accident reflected both physical injuries and intrusive post-event cognitions that lingered after the incident. Finally, views on fishing after the accident highlighted enduring trust in God amid uncertainty and the continuation of fishing as an economic necessity despite known sea-activity hazards <br/><br/>	Overall, the findings presented how fisherfolk integrate practical preparedness, spiritual grounding, and adaptive coping to manage both immediate threats and long-term vulnerability. psychological support, and risk-prevention programs tailored to the lived realities of coastal communities.<br/>Keywords: fisherfolks reported missing, sea accidents, survival strategies, narrative experiences, semi structured interviews
