The data gathering instrument used was the questionnaire-checklist adopted from the study of Boguslawski, et al. (2022). The statistical tools were mean, frequency, and percentage for descriptive analysis. The study found out that, generally, cadets as future seafarers feared that the arrival of autonomous ships may threaten their profession, and they may no longer needed at some point so they will need to find a different career path although their skills remain useful in the maritime industry as a whole.
